Meetings where everyone gets a turn.

A small tool for the person running the room, so a few voices don’t take the whole hour.

What this is

In most group meetings, two or three people do most of the talking and everyone else goes quiet. Online it's worse: the host is busy running things and cannot track who is waiting or who has not spoken.

Conversation Hog is a shared speaking queue everyone can see, with a gentle limit on repeat speakers. After you have spoken a few times you move to a second list until others have had a turn. That way the correction comes from the rule itself, not from the host calling someone out.

This is an early-stage project. Right now I'm learning from people who run meetings: what you do today, and where it breaks.

If you run meetings, tell me what breaks.

I am talking with people who run recurring meetings: a class, a board, a committee, a congregation, a team. It takes about twenty minutes, and what you say shapes what gets built.
